Rhys Owen | Director
Rhys has over 16 years’ experience in the gambling sector both in retail and online having worked for Gala Bingo clubs, Gala Coral Interactive, Virtue Fusion, Playtech, GeoLotto, Bede Gaming and Geco Gaming before founding Mutuel Play Ltd.
Rhys has helped launch several gaming products in the market from bingo games, casino games and back-office tools including highly successful titles like Deal or no Deal Bingo, Dynamite Digger, Bouncy Balls to name but a few. Rhys led the transition from desktop to mobile whilst at Virtue Fusion, who were one of the first to make the move in that vertical. He still loves getting involved in New Product Development and Mutuel Play Ltd is his opportunity to bring his ideas to life.
Rhys studied Business at the University of Portsmouth where he achieved a 2:1 back in 2004. He also happens to support Portsmouth FC and is hopeful they will one day reach the previous heights of premiership status and FA Cup glory back in 2008. Rhys likes to keep active by playing football, golf and ‘pub sports’.
Paul Spencer | Senior Developer
Paul has worked in the online gambling industry for over 16 years for companies including Dynamite Idea, Boss Media, GTech and GECO Gaming before becoming Mutuel Play’s first employee in 2016.
Paul has become an integral part of the development team leading our slot game team, building out a framework suite of tools to make new game and feature developments more efficient.
Paul is a keen football fan and an avid support of Liverpool FC. He is, as all game developers should be, a huge Star Wars nerd, likes his music loud and loves to travel to exotic destinations.
Krishna Gurung | Developer
Krishna has been developing software solutions for various industries for over 8 years. He holds strong interest in developing HTML5 games for mobile and desktop devices.
Before joining Mutuel Play, Krishna worked for Geco Gaming, Ash Gaming and Playtech. He loves various challenges and enjoys getting involved with new technologies.
Krishna holds a Computer Science degree with first-class honours from University of Portsmouth. He enjoys playing tennis, golf and experimenting with IoT products.
Joseph O'Neill | DevOps
Joe supports Mutuel Play from his local business JMO Software Ltd located in the Republic of Ireland. Joe oversees the maintenance and support of Mutuel Play’s core infrastructure on AWS. Additionally, Joe has been heavily involved in the development of Mutuel Play’s Back Office suite of tools as well as developing game engines.
He was born in Coventry and moved to Ireland when he was 13, spending 4 years in Donegal, then 4 in Galway and moved back to Ireland in 2019. He has a Batchelor of Science degree in Business Computing and Digital Media that he gained from Galway-Mayo IT. Joe then moved to study Software Design and Development for post-graduate degree at National University of Ireland, Galway.
Rytis Bieliunas | Chief Architect
Rytis Bieliunas contracts with Mutuel Play to support the development of the platform from his home in Kaunas, Lithuania. Rytis has worked in the gaming sector for nearly a decade initially involved with Bede Gaming and helping develop their infrastructure tools and Bingo platform.
Rytis develops a lot of the new and exciting products that Mutuel Play is developing including the initial Bingo back-end solution, Slots solution and more recently the Spin Along product.
Rytis is a keen squash fanatic and regular competes at local and national tournaments.
